The CAL Business Solutions team recently worked with a Connecticut based project services company that manages large building projects in the Northeast. Their team of professionals can be running 150 different projects, but their disconnected systems were slowing them down.
Project time was collected in one standalone application. Project management was done in complex Excel spreadsheets. While the accounting and billing were done in Sage 50 Accounting (formerly Peachtree). None of these systems talked to each other. Customer information had to be set up in three systems. Billing information had to be manually entered into the accounting system to send invoices.
Implementing Acumatica Cloud ERP gave them the ability to bring all this information into one single integrated system.
To ease the transition, the project was done in stages. Phase one brought time tracking into Acumatica. Phase two replaced Sage 50 Accounting then phase three brought all the project management into Acumatica. Now this company has one single version of the truth and they can focus on their projects, instead of on data entry.
