According to the Microsoft Dynamics GP team this feature delivers the ability to log into the GP web client using your Windows identity. The experience is, the first time a user logs into the GP web client, they will provide their Windows user name and password and optionally select to remember the user name and password if they are on a trusted device. The user is logged into GP without needing to provide any additional credentials. If the user selected to remember the user name and password, the next time they access GP from that device they will be logged in without being challenged for credentials. The feature will only be available on the GP web client, with the desktop client still requiring the user to login using a GP/SQL login and password. A GP user can be configured with either or both a Windows identity and a SQL identity, allowing the user to access GP using either/both clients in a mixed mode deployment.
