UPS address validation for SalesPad is an extra DLL that can be added to your SalesPad for Microsoft Dynamics GP system.  Any time an address gets entered into SalesPad it runs the routine with UPS to verify that the address is valid. If an issue is found, you can verify the address with the customer and avoid shipping errors before they happen.

Hello, this is Ryan from CAL Business Solutions. Today I’m going to be talking about UPS address validation. This is an extra DLL that can be added to your SalesPad install and it does require a UPS account and a little bit of setup done in SalesPad.

The way that it works is that anytime an address gets entered into SalesPad or an address is saved in SalesPad it runs the routine with UPS to verify that the address is valid.

Let’s go ahead and see this DLL at work if we open up this address here…..We’re going to go ahead and hit save and it’s running through to verify it. It is found that the provided address is ambiguous and here’s a list of suggested addresses. So UPS thinks that 1012 Ash Auckland Street could be any of these addresses here. We’ll call the customer and verify that this is the correct one, hit okay and our address has been updated.

This could have been a result of bad data entry, but by verifying the address it’s going to prevent shipping issues and make things a lot easier with the customer.

Thank you for watching the video on UPS data address validation for SalesPad.
