The original copy of the Declaration of Independence is lost. The copy in Washington D.C. is what is referred to as a holograph. That is a term for a handmade copy of a document and is not the same as a laser produced hologram.
The CAL Zone e-newsletter is focused on our family of Microsoft Dynamics GP users. Stay up to date with current promotions to save you money plus tips & tricks and new tools to save you time. To view archived copies of previous newsletters click here.
Simple Tips for Maintaining Your GP Database
If we can sum up in one word how to maintain your database it would be “backup”. We would hate to think what would happen to a company that had a catastrophic equipment failure and lost all of their financial information. That is why it is so important to have an effective plan for maintaining your database. Some plans are very time consuming and difficult which means that they end up being skipped until later or worse yet, completely abandoned.
Maintenance is the critical key to make sure you avert any catastrophes. We recommend you read this whitepaper by Eugene Kogan of the US Fund for UNICEF “5 Simple Tips for Microsoft Dynamics-GP Maintenance”. Do not wait – safeguard your company today.
ISV Spotlight: Reporting Central
The Closer reconciles and balances Dynamics GP to the penny. In less than 1 minute, Dynamics GP customers can reconcile their General Ledger with the following sub-ledgers: AR, AP, Cash, Inventory, Accrued Purchases, Sales, COGS and more.
Imagine eliminating the manual process of “ticking and tying” between multiple reports. Imagine eliminating the need to take a “write-off” to bring balance Dynamics GP.
The Closer is an award winning (2009 & 2010 Top Add-On for Dynamics GP) solution that has helped over 150 Dynamics GP Customers save 1000’s of hours by significantly reducing the time it takes to reconcile Dynamics GP.
See 126 Dynamics GP ISV’s at the Convergence 2011 Expo
In the past, many of our clients have found real value in the ISV Expo area of Convergence 2011. There are hundreds of vendors, and 126 focused directly on Dynamics GP. If there are any specific products/features you are looking for, this is the place to be to learn more about the possible solutions.
A few comments from last year’s attendees:
“The ISV Expo hall is the best part of Convergence. You can have an interactive dialog with the product developers and decide what tools will fit your needs, there is no better way to get this information.”
“We realized how much more we can do with Dynamics GP now that we have seen what is out there.”
“If you are looking for a particular solution to work with Dynamics GP, like document management for example, you can go to the expo and see several options, from $1k to $100k. You can see them all at once, instead of spending days researching online.”
