Eliminate Manual Entry in Dynamics GP Tip – Stop Tracking Fixed Assets in Spreadsheets

We find that many companies still track their fixed assets on an Excel spreadsheet. Did you know if you are on GP version 2013 or higher you already own the Fixed Assets module, a tool that can track assets for you? Learn more about how this tool can help you even if you only have a few assets to manage within your organization.

Also, check out 90 Fixed Asset Reports available in GP.

If you are interested in setting up this feature in your Dynamics GP system, contact CAL at

List of the Best Microsoft Dynamics GP Add On Tools

In our opinion Microsoft does not make it very easy to find a complete list of add on tools. So we developed our own “CAL Marketplace” of Dynamics GP ISV products to assist our customers. Our CAL Marketplace does NOT list every product available, it only lists the ones that our team is familiar with and feel confident recommending to our clients.

Currently we list 231 Dynamics GP ISV products from 57 companies. Sorted by 25 Industry and 31 Category/Function options.

Are you looking for something specific? Learn more about the CAL Marketplace.

CAL’s Review of the 1st CT GPUG Chapter Meeting

CAL was very excited to hear about the launch of a Connecticut GPUG Chapter.

Read our review of the first meeting that was held in Hartford in February.

Note: Attending GPUG Chapter meetings are free for GPUG members (those who are not members can attend 1 meeting for free through a 30-day GPUG trial).

The meetings are quarterly, with the next scheduled for May 17.

Food As Fuel: How Leaders Power Their Days

When we think about the factors that contribute to workplace performance, we rarely give much consideration to food. I personally have never really thought about how the food we eat can affect our performance.

Check out what leaders are eating to fuel their long, productive days.

SalesPad Tip: How to Use Interactions to Save Valuable Notes

Interaction entries in SalesPad are a great place to save information that you want to find later. Interactions can be entered throughout SalesPad in Customer & Vendor cards, sales documents & purchase orders, and within the CRM module. A big benefit of the Interaction form is the large “Notes” field on the right. You can track and store information they can be used for just about any purpose. And you can search on that text.
