Did you know that the dealership where you buy your tires could be using Microsoft Dynamics GP? That is certainly true if you visit one of the 5 Connecticut retail locations of Modern Tire located in Newington, Rocky Hill, Southington, Cheshire and Farmington.
Modern Tire was formerly using Peachtree but then installed Microsoft Dynamics GP to connect to their VAST Enterprise POS system. After a bumpy start with another partner, Modern Tire switched to CAL Business Solutions. The integration was completed and now information flows from VAST into Dynamics GP on a daily basis from all 5 locations – eliminating double entry and providing the financial reporting they need.

My favorite line of the video is when Bob says, “CAL does business the way we do business: stand behind the product and the work and make the customer happy.” It doesn’t get better than that!
The Rocky Hill facility where we filmed is modern, clean and high tech. Steve even described it to me as the “Taj Mahal of Tires” – who wouldn’t want to see that! The entire staff we worked with during the filming was friendly, professional and fun to work with. If you have not been there already, I definitely recommend a visit to Modern Tire the next time your car needs a little TLC.
