With the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, Microsoft introduced a new licensing model. As an existing Dynamics GP user, when you upgrade to Dynamics GP 2013 you automatically get all the functionality included in the Starter Pack.

This is a great deal for everyone upgrading to the new version because the Starter Pack includes new modules that you would not have otherwise had access to the past as they were part of the Advanced Management edition or were an a la carte module available for an extra cost. For most of our customers, the Starter Pack includes all the functionality they need, and more.

However, there is more advanced functionality available if you have the Extended Pack or Additional Packs .

Do you already have access to the Extended Pack license?

Any client that had the Advanced Management edition of Microsoft Dynamics GP receives the Extended Pack license at no charge when they upgrade to Dynamics GP 2013. Also, any customer on the old Standard or Professional versions (purchased before 2006) also receives the Extended Pack at no charge. (this is an especially great deal, like buying a Honda Civic then getting a new Mercedes at no cost.)

But customers that were on the Business Essentials version would need to purchase the Extended Pack for an additional $10,000 one time fee that covers all users.

However, Microsoft has just announced a promotion that cuts the price of the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Extended Pack in half. From $10,000 to $5,000.

Microsoft Dynamics GP FY14 Promotion – “Extend For Half” Promotion Terms:

The Dynamics GP 2013 Extended Pack module will be offered at a 50% license discount. ($5,000)

The annual maintenance plan from Microsoft is calculated at 18% of the full software list cost of Dynamics GP, not the discounted cost. So your Protected List Price will increase by $10,000.

Expires June 23, 2014
