Many of our clients are running older versions of Dynamics GP and they are currently faced with the question – should I upgrade to the latest version of Dynamics GP 2013 now, or instead only go to Dynamics GP 2010?
Some companies are not ready to make the hardware/infrastructure investments required to be compatible with Dynamics GP 2013. (Review: Dynamics GP 2010 vs Dynamics GP 2013 Hardware Requirements Comparison Chart) And other companies choose not to use a newly released version until it has been on the market for a longer period of time.
In these cases, moving to Dynamics GP 2010 still gives you a ton of new functionality, including Management Reporter, the powerful real time financial reporting tool that has replaced FRx.
But if you plan to use Management Reporter, and roll it out to a large number of people in your organization, you need to compare the costs.
Cost of Management Reporter (MR) in Dynamics GP 2010
Business Ready Licensing (Business Essentials & Advanced Management Editions)=
- 1 MR Designer user per concurrent Dynamics GP user, then $1,000 per additional, named MR Designer User + annual enhancement fees.
- Must purchase a named Light User @ $125 each + Enhancement to receive the MR Viewer.
Modular Based Licensing (Standard & Professional Editions)=
- 1 MR Designer per concurrent Dynamics GP user, then $1,000 per additional, named MR Designer + Enhancement.
- 1 MR named Viewer is $300 + Enhancement.
