Goodbye Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 support! Microsoft mainstream support for this product was discontinued today, October 9th, 2012. Extended support will be ending on October 10th, 2017. This chart outlines the differences between Dynamics GP Mainstream Support and Extended Support.
If you are using Microsoft Dynamics 10 now you can choose to skip the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 version and go right to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. But wait – Microsoft Dynamics 2013 is not available until December 2012! Not to worry, if you have been on version 10.0 for so long, you can likely get by until then. The only issue might be payroll but you will be happy to know that Microsoft will be releasing a 2012 Year-End Update to all Payroll customers. They will also have a Round 1 U.S. tax tables for 2013 Payroll reporting. But there will be no other releases after that for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0. Microsoft Dynamics GP users can find more information on the tax updates here on Customersource.
If you are currently using Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, you must upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 to receive any further regulatory and or code updates following the January 2013 Round 1 Tax Update.
CAL Business Solutions will continue to provide support for all of our Dynamics GP customers – even on old versions. But you should know that this could take us longer on older versions where we cannot use Microsoft as a resource if necessary. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
