When you’ve made the decision to upgrade your accounting software, the next logical question is how much does Microsoft Dynamics GP actually cost?
Sadly, it’s not as easy as finding a price tag on the bottom of the box and software is only a fraction of the total cost.
There are four main areas that you need to keep in mind.

First, you would add the starter pack which comes with the minimum three users. Usually that’s enough functionality for a company but if you need something more advanced you can add additional packs for a set cost. Then you would add the cost for each additional concurrent user license.

Number two is the annual maintenance plan.
Microsoft requires that every new customer enroll in the Business Ready Advantage Plan. This gives you access to the new versions of the software, unlimited online training and much more.
The price is 18% of the software list price before any discounts. The first year this is required. After that it’s not required but it’s highly recommended.

Number three is implementation services. Keep in mind that the first two costs are set and will be the same no matter which Microsoft Dynamics GP partner you ask.
But implementation services are done by a Microsoft partner, such as CAL Business Solutions, and the costs can vary widely. This includes items such as installation, set up, data conversion, integration and training.
