| Amber's Tips & Tricks Customer Summary Sales Amount May Include More than Just Sales The Sales totals in the Customer Summary Card is normally considered a total of sales made to customers. The actual make-up of this value may include more than just raw sales dollars depending on the Receivables Setup. In the Receivables Setup Options window (Tools -> Setup -> Sales -> Receivables -> Options in Version 9.0), the Sales History Includes at the bottom of the page defines the amounts that will be accumulated in the Sales totals in the Customer Summary card. Checkboxes include Sales, Discounts, Freight, Miscellaneous, and Tax. Checking each of these boxes will include the indicated amounts in the Sales total on the Customer Summary screen. Carol's Corner: Avoid Penalty Fees I hate for any of our customers to pay penalty fees! In the past, if any of you have let your enhancement plans lapse, I have begged and pleaded and sometimes gotten Microsoft to waive the re-enrollment fee. But no more! Microsoft has let us know in no uncertain terms that there will be no more exceptions. So if you let your enhancement plan lapse, and then decide to reinstate it, I can't help you. Microsoft will enforce the penalty fee. When the service plan has been expired for 1-90 days, the Enhancement Program renewal amount is 25% of the current system list price. When the service plan has been expired for 91-365 days, the renewal amount is 30% and 1 year and beyond, the renewal amount is 35%. Now more than ever, I encourage all of you to remain current on your enhancement plans. If you have any questions about your renewal please email me anytime. The Future of Small Business Financials Microsoft has announced that there will be no new releases of Microsoft Small Business Financials (SBF). Instead there will be a replacement product that is projected to be launched in the second half of 2009 under a new name. This new product will have the Microsoft RoleTailored user experience and the familiar look and feel of Microsoft Office.
