Hello everyone:

A new year...a new newsletter. Welcome to the new and improved CAL Zone newsletter. (Let me know how you like our new design). 2006 was a big year here at CAL, read more about it "George's Corner". And don't forget it's time to register for Convergence 2007 in my hometown of sunny San Diego. (you could get a free ticket too!)

The tip this month is a feature I have been highlighting during recent training sessions. Starting in version 8.0, users have had the option of customizing their toolbar. Using this feature, you can now open your favorite windows with a single click.

 
  1. Click: VIEW>TOOLBARS
  2. Check the toolbars you want included.
  3. Click: VIEW>TOOLBARS>CUSTOMIZE
  4. You can remove or add windows.
  5. Click: VIEW>TOOLBARS>CUSTOMIZE>MODIFY SELECTION
Here you can edit the name. You can also set the button to show an Image, plus Text. This is a great way to access your most frequently used windows.


 
What's New With You?

2006 has been a year of tremendous growth here at CAL. Many of our customers have been growing too. Some have added new employees, new locations, divisions and even new companies.

We want you to know that our goal at CAL is to be your partner. We want to help you benefit from changes to your business. Perhaps that is letting your new employees know about our training options or meeting with you to review how you are using Microsoft Dynamics GP. Or helping you adjust your financial reports to track new information.

George's Corner: CAL is Turning 25!

George Hello Everyone:

Our company has just started what will be our 25th year in business. What started as just me and a couple of the "old-timers" here at CAL has grown into one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics GP partners in New England. Not bad for a little company in Harwinton!

It has been one year since I welcomed the customers and employees from Intellibridge to the CAL family. The Customer Appreciation Day this summer was a great opportunity to spend time getting to know many of our customers. If you didn't get a chance to make it, please plan on coming this year!!

2006 has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding years in CAL's history. And with that growth came some growing pains. I realize that recently we have had a difficult time maintaining the high level of customer service that we have prided ourselves on in our 25 years in business. Please know that we are working very hard to make improvements so that we will be able to serve you better.

In just the past few months we have upgraded our internal IT infrastructure, increased our online remote support tools, set up a centralized support desk and hired three new people in support roles. I hope to hire more people in 2007 and take other steps to become more efficient.

I hope that each of you know how important you are to CAL. If there is ever anything that I can do to help you, please let me know. Thank you for your continued support.

I can say in all honesty that I feel that 2007 is going to be a great year for the CAL Business Solutions team and our clients. I hope that 2007 proves to be successful for you both professionally and personally.
